Lesson plan 2026-04-20¶
- As part of the HPC Python course
- Working form: mostly in breakout rooms
- Registrations: 50
Question to observer¶
Goal of the meeting:
- Agree on peer observation
- Discuss observation question, the context and logistics needed
I follow the five-step model from [Bell, 2020], which are:
- Prior
- Present
- Challenge
- Feedback
- Repeat
I am unsure about my 'Feedback': I give 1-on-1 feedback in breakout rooms, but sometimes I do not want to disturb and let it slide. Do you think my judgment is reasonable? Alternatively, I do sometimes give Feedback in a plenary part, but because of the different levels of the learners, I do no want to disturb/stress/slow_down the learners and let this slide too. Do you think my judgment here is reasonable?
Taking a look at the schedule, this question feels best answered at the third hour, which is from 11:15-12:00.
- She will join from 9:00-10:00 and 15:15 to the end. If there are no learners anymore at 15:15, we'll discuss the lesson
- I will introduce her purpose and the interaction rules. I will not ask her to introduce herself
